China Fish 2020 Postponed Because of Coronavirus

China Fish 2020 will celebrate its 30th anniversary at a later date, with officials announcing the massive fishing trade show in Bejing is postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The show was scheduled for Feb. 5-7 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. An announcement on the show's website did not provide details about when it would be rescheduled.

According to China Fish information, more than 500 exhibitors and 2,000 international buyers from more than 80 country were to attend. The  show features "product showcase for global market, industry trends indications and connections."

Attendees from Korea and the United States comprise two of largest groups at the show. It features sport fishing tackle, outdoors and camping gear, boats and more.

The coronavirus was detected by health officials in Wuhan, in central China, in early December and related to state officials by Dec. 26. Hesitation to publicly reveal the growing fears about the virus have spurred questions as health officials worldwide attempt to reign in the spread of the disease. Border closures, lockdowns in cities and a rush to try to contain the virus are ongoing.

The statement on China Fish's site:

In response to the prevention and control of the disease outbreak and in order to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, China Fish 2020 (February 5-7, 2020, in Beijing) has to be postponed due to the new coronavirus in China. This decision is made by the show organizer according to an order issued by Beijing Municipal Government.

We are very apologizing for this change, and we will help you to get your China Fish hotel fee refund in China, as well as we are planning new day and place for the show according to the virus control in China.

We are very appreciated for your support and understanding.
